PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase damper effect while forming a damper compactly in an ink jet printer. SOLUTION: Ink supplied from an ink tank through a flexible tube flows from an ink inlet 47 into the first chamber 27d-1 of a damper chamber through communicating conduits 49 and 50 thence flows into the second chamber 39d from a passage hole 44 made in the bottom wall 29 of the first chamber as a restriction part before being fed to a recording head from an ink outlet 41d. Upper surface of the first chamber 27d-1 is sealed with a flexible film 43 and the communicating conduits 49 and 50 rise from a main partition wall 35 forming the bottom face of the second chamber 39d and open at positions in close vicinity to the flexible film 43. Consequently, pressure variation of ink propagating from the tube side to the first chamber 27d-1 is applied directly to the flexible film 43 and absorbed through deformation. Furthermore, velocity variation of ink is relaxed at the restriction part and ink is fed to the recording head while suppressing pressure variation sufficiently. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
