PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical module, having a moving mechanism capable of adjusting a focusing position on a light-receiving element. SOLUTION: The optical module 3 includes first lens holders 13 and 16, a second lens holder 19 positioned at an object side therefrom, a lens barrel 11 circumscribed on the first lens holder and held slidably in the direction of an optical axis, and a cylindrical cam 15 arranged at the outer periphery and modifying the position of the first lens holder. The first lens holders 13 and 16 is provided with projection members 131 and 161 extending from the side. Through holes 11A and 11B which allow movement in the direction of the optical axis LD of the projection member are formed, and a cam face 151 guiding the projection member is formed on the inner wall of the cylindrical cam. A second lens holder is fixed on the upper end of the lens barrel and has a sliding face positioning the cylindrical cam.
