PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas leak detector capable of determining surely crack occurrence on a cylinder for storing a high pressure gas or on a pipe connected to the cylinder. SOLUTION: This detector is equipped with a pressure measuring part 11 for measuring the pressure in the cylinder or the pipe at prescribed time intervals, a pressure difference calculation part 12 for calculating the pressure difference between pressures measured before and after a prescribed time by the pressure measuring part 11, a pressure difference addition part 14 for adding in prescribed number of times the pressure difference calculated pressures measured thereafter, when the pressure difference is larger than the first threshold, and a gas leak determination part 15 for determining that a gas leak occurs when the pressure difference calculated by the pressure difference addition part 14 is larger than the second threshold which is larger than the the first threshold.
