PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a precise head compensation of high response. SOLUTION: A filling device 10 is provided with a plurality of units 14, 14... of the mutually same type, each unit 14 is provided with a valve 20 for filling a vessel 12 from a common storage tank 28 and the weighing device 18 for measuring the quantity filled to the vessel 12. The weighing device 18 also functions as a stopping means for stopping the valve 20 for stopping the filling operation when the weight of the filling liquid supplied to the vessel 12 reaches filling stop weight. After stopping the filling operation of the valve 20, the filling to the vessel 20 is still continued for a while. The weight of the filling liquid after the stop so called the amount of head is changed as the lapse of time, therefore, for each unit 14 based on the results of weighing previously obtained for the other units 14, 14... the filling stop weight is corrected i.e. head correction is performed.
