PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide stairs for a scaffolding capable of preventing an accident by holding treads to the stringer without falling even if a bolt for fixing the tread to the stringer gets loose. SOLUTION: The stairs K for the scaffolding is formed by horizontally laying the treads 2 with end caps 4, 4 fittingly fixed to both right and left ends of tread bodies 3, every fixed space between a pair of stringers 1, 1 on both right and left sides. Each tread 2 is fixed to both stringers 1, 1 by screwing and fastening a bolt 5 inserted through from each stringer 1, into an internal thread part provided at each end cap 4. Each tread 2 is provided with a tread fall preventing means 10 comprising shafts 21 supported in a laterally movable manner inside a tread body 3, and springs 24 energizing the end parts of the shafts 21 to project from through-holes 22 of each end cap 4 and to be inserted through insertion holes 23 of each side frame 1.
