PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antidegradant having superior degradation preventing ability for a food product and a cosmetic, etc., and the food product, the cosmetic, a glaze agent and a plastic product containing it. SOLUTION: This antidegradant comprises maltotriose. Preferably the antidegradant comprises furthermore a water-soluble antioxidant such as rosemary acid, vitamin C, ascorbic acid, isoascorbic acid or those salts (e.g. an alkali metal salt, an alkaline earth metal salt, etc.), a catechin and a natural extractable material containing the catechin.
