PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve visibility on a display part and to allow an imaging apparatus to deal with various styles of use by mounting the display part on a body of the imaging apparatus so as to be freely opened/closed and rotated, and providing an imaging switch on a front surface of the imaging apparatus while housing the display part in the body. SOLUTION: In a turn supporting part 17 which supports one side of an LCD panel 15 so as to turn the one side by separating the other side from a side surface of the body, the LCD panel comprising a display screen 15a for monitoring a video signal imaged by the imaging means housed in the body 2 of a video camera 1 provided with a start/stop switch 4 on its rear side surface, an auxiliary turning means 22 including a turning shaft 24 is interposed orthogonally with a turning shaft 20 of the turn supporting part, so that the lCD panel can be housed in the body while selecting either front surface or rear surface.
