The present invention relates to new aromatic bicyclic compounds of general formula wherein Ar, X, Y and Z and R¹ to R³ are defined as in claim 1, the tautomers, the enantiomers, the diastereomers, the mixtures thereof, the prodrugs thereof and the salts thereof, as well as their preparation and their use as pharmaceutical compositions. The compounds of the above general formula I have valuable pharmacological properties, particularly an antithrombotic activity and a factor Xa-inhibiting activity.
