The invention is directed to the use of an invertebrate presynaptic neurotoxin for manufacture of a medicament for treatment of a migraine headache in a mammal by delivery of a therapeutically effective amount of the presynaptic neurotoxin in a pharmaceutically safe form to a mammal.
