摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic filament bonding system for a vacuum fluorescent display not allowing filament coating delamination. <P>SOLUTION: The filament bonding system comprises a delivery system having a spool and a dancer arm assembly for equilibration; a clamp having a curved filament entrance, a narrower holding region, and a wider filament exit; and a bond head having a guide, a groove forming section, and a bond tool having a staking section. The groove forming section forms a groove in the bond, and the staking section closes the groove above the filament for fixing the filament in the bond.
