TACTILE FEELING GENERATING MOUSE INTERFACE DEVICE TRANSMITTING MATERIAL FEELING, SHEARING AND CONTACT REACTION FORCE TO USER

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mouse interface device through which a user can feel a virtual object displayed on a monitor by a computer.

SOLUTION: The mouse interface device includes (a) a force feedback part for acting on the user the sense of force associated with mechanical properties in a predetermined direction of the virtual object, (b) a tactile feeling transmitting part for stimulating the user relating to the texture of the virtual object, and (c) a linear drive part for rectilinearly moving the feeling transmitting part so that pins, which can press the user on the skin, move in a near transverse direction for the skin.
