<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely perform regeneration of a filter member by preventing interruption of manual regeneration by an engine automatic stop. <P>SOLUTION: This device is provided with an engine automatic stop/restart means automatically stopping an engine when establishment of engine automatic stop condition is judged and start operation is performed during engine automatic stop, an exhaust particulate quantity detection means detecting a parameter relating to quantity of exhaust particulate caught in the filter member, a manual regeneration switch for start regeneration of a filter member, an instruction means instructing an occupant to perform manual regeneration when the parameter relating to exhaust particulate matter get a predetermined value or greater and a vehicle stop condition is detected, a regeneration means regenerating the filter member when the manual regeneration switch is operated to a regeneration start condition during the instruction means is instructing manual regeneration, and an engine automatic stop prohibition means prohibiting engine automatic stop even if establishment of engine automatic stop condition is judged during the filter member is being regenerated by the regeneration means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
