<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a system for setting sensitized material information capable of avoiding errors in setting sensitized material information when replacing a cartridge of an image forming device, and of reducing procedure for setting the sensitized material information, and to provide a program capable of implementing the method. <P>SOLUTION: The method for setting sensitized material information includes: causing identification information for identifying a sensitized material to be recorded when a cartridge enclosing the sensitized material is loaded into the image forming device; causing the image forming device to obtain the identification information from an ID tag provided on the cartridge; causing the image forming device to sent the identification information via a network to a server having a database that stores sensitized material information about the sensitized material corresponding to the identification information; causing the image forming device to receive from the server via the network the sensitized material information corresponding to the identification information; and setting the sensitized material information in the image forming device. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
