<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cartridge capable of realizing the recording/reproducing operation by a dustproof and highly reliable near-field light, a cartridge having a high degree of convergence, and a cartridge capable of easily discriminating recording method. <P>SOLUTION: A recording medium 71 for a near-field light memory is arranged so as to load/unload, with respect to a recording/reproducing device in a state of being housed in the cartridge 70, and a near-field light probe 56 is also housed in the same cartridge 70 so that dirt or dust from the outside will not enter inside, even when it is taken out from the recording/reproducing device. A transparent window 73 is prepared on the cartridge 70 so that the optical mutual action with an optical pickup unit 51 is carried out via this transparent window 73. An arm 57 is fixed to a dust-proof plate 72 which slides on an arm guide so as to be movable, and by connecting a detachable unit 54 thereto, the near-field light probe 56 and the optical pickup unit 51 are made so as to be scanned on the same moving stage 50. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
