<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric power steering arrangement, capable of acquiring a sense of steering without incongruity by suppressing torque ripple caused by the effect of the gain difference of current detectors of different phases. <P>SOLUTION: A W phase of a brushless motor 6 of the arrangement is separated from another phase (S10), and a first voltage v1 is applied between a U-terminal and a V-phase terminal (S20). A current detected value Xu of a U-phase current detector 156 and a current detected value Xv of a V-phase current detector 154 at that time are stored (S30). Likewise, a second voltage v2 is applied (S40) and respective current detection values Yu and Yv at that time are stored (S50). These stored values are substituted into ¾Xu-Yu¾/¾Xv-Yv¾, to calculate a V-phase gain correction coefficient gv (S60). The gain difference of the V-phase current detector 154 from the U-phase current detector 156 is compensated, based on the V-phase gain correction coefficient gv at the operation of the arrangement, so that torque ripples due to gain differences among the current detectors are suppressed from occurring. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
