PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat developable photosensitive material which is free of generation of roller marks while maintaining high density even in the case of rapid processing, ensures little density unevenness in heat development, and ensures a small increase of fog with time. SOLUTION: In the heat developable photosensitive material having an image forming layer containing at least an organic silver salt, a silver halide, a binder and a reducing agent on a support, a non-photosensitive layer is present on a side of the image forming layer remoter from the support and an acicular powder is contained in at least one of the image forming layer and the non-photosensitive layer.
