PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a specification creation support device, capable of reducing redo to a basic plan from an external specification in a software for executing the control of equipment. SOLUTION: This specification creation support device 1 supports the creation of a requirement specification for the software for executing the control of equipment. In a definition input part, the description of a definition of a term used inside the requirement specification and the format for the term is input via an entry frame. The entry frame is decided on the basis of the properties of the apparatus. A term reference part refers to a term restriction dictionary file 100. The term restriction dictionary file 100 stores restriction about the term. The restriction about the term is related to the format of the term input to the definition input part via the entry frame and decided on the basis of the properties of the apparatus. A term detection part acquires the restriction about the term stored in the term restriction dictionary file 100 from the term reference part to detect an error in the term input to the definition input part via the entry frame.
