PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display characteristic calibration method and display characteristic calibration system which calibrate the display characteristics of a color display device by performing the calibration of a conversion table of a plurality of colors (respective colors R, G and B) based on the luminance (white luminance and monochromatic luminance) and whiteness determined by displaying a white screen relating to a plurality of gradations of display input gradations, and also to provide a computer program. SOLUTION: A liquid crystal monitor 10 is equipped with an LCD panel 11, a conversion section 12, an LUT 13, a monitor communication section 14, a light source control section 15, and a light source 16. The conversion section 12 is equipped with the LUT 13. The LUT 13 is equipped with an LUT 13R (LUT for red), LUT 13G (LUT for green), and LUT 13B (LUT for blue) corresponding to, for example, three primary colors R, G and B.
