PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display panel for a reflection display and the reflection type display exhibiting visibility with paper like texture. SOLUTION: In the display panel for the reflection type display which is equipped with a substrate, an electrode layer, an image display layer, a transparent electrode layer, and a surface layer, the display panel for the reflection type display is characterized by having a<SP>*</SP>and b<SP>*</SP>of a white image being (-4) to (+2) and (-2) to (+4) respectively.
