BRANCHED POLYCARBONATE RESIN AND ITS MANUFACTURING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a branched polycarbonate resin which has a low content of a branching agent and an appropriate melt tension, exhibits excellent thermal stability, hardly suffers from drawdown and can be stably formed at the time of processing such as extrusion molding, blow molding, injection molding or vacuum forming, and its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: The branched polycarbonate resin is obtained by a reaction of a bivalent phenol, the branching agent, monovalent phenols and phosgene, where the content X of the branching agent (the molar number of the branching agent/the molar number of the bivalent phenol×100) is 0.1-0.7 mol%; the content X of the branching agent and the melt tension Y at 280°C satisfy expression (1): 1≤Y≤-5X2+14X-0.35; and the total N amount and the total Cl amount in the branched polycarbonate resin are 0-20 ppm and 0-200 ppm, respectively.
