发明名称 METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR HEAT RETENTION OF HIGH TEMPERATURE STEEL CAST SLAB
摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and system for heat retention of a high temperature steel cast slab, which can increase significantly heat retention capability of the slab more than ever, increase the sequential number of continuous casting work (an enlargement of steelmaking lot size) and increase flexibility of heating furnace operation at a low cost without either deterioration of surrounding working environment or investment of an additional equipment. SOLUTION: The method for heat retention of a high temperature steel cast slab is aimed to retain the high temperature cast slab at a temperature higher than a designated temperature by using a heat retention furnace until the high temperature slab produced with a continuous caster is transferred to the heating furnace in a hot rolling mill. Atmospheric temperature in the heat retention furnace is always measured and the measured temperature is raised so as to be higher than the predetermined designated temperature by charging other general steel slabs having a higher temperature than the designated temperature into the heat retention furnace.
