PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a punch press and a tool supporting body used therefor in which the fixing of the tool supporting body to the press frame is performed accurately and by compact constitution since positioning force generated by clamping force for fixing the tool supporting body is always directed to the center and which can be made into fixing structure by which the clamping force is directed to the fixing direction. SOLUTION: This punch press is provided with the tool supporting body 4 on which tools 2 are mountable and the press frame 5 for supporting this tool supporting body 4 freely attachably and detachably. The tool supporting body 4 has a tool supporting part 4a for supporting the tools 2, a coupling part 4b on the side of the supporting body which is formed by arranging a plurality of coupling teeth 4ba which are projected and recessed in the vertical direction on the periphery of the supporting part in the circumferential direction, and a part 4c to be engaged. The press frame 5 is provided with a coupling part 43a on the side of the frame which is formed by arranging a plurality of coupling teeth which can be engaged with the coupling teeth of the coupling part 4b on the side of the supporting body in the circumferential direction and a retracting/coupling means 37. The retracting/coupling means 37 which is provided to be freely elevated/lowered and makes both coupling parts 4b, 43a engage with each other by retracting the tool supporting body 4 in the side of the press frame 5 by engaging with the part 4c to be engaged and couples the tool supporting body 4 to the press frame 5.
