PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a knapsack which exhibits a low degree of deformation, degradation and the like. SOLUTION: The knapsack 10 has a knapsack body 15 which is formed by attaching a front board 12 to a back board 11 through side pieces 13 and a bottom piece 14 and is provided with a cover plate 17 for covering the opening for in/out of the knapsack body 15 in an openable and closable way and shoulder straps 18 for shouldering. In this case, gathered parts 22 for shaping rim materials 21 which cover the joint parts among the side pieces 13, the bottom piece 14 and the back board 11 are provided on the side of the back board 11.
