PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vibration suppressing device for an elevator roller guide of simple structure capable of damping the vibration in the vertical direction generated when an elevator car is going to stop and allowing a smooth car motion when the car is running, in particular at the time of acceleration or deceleration. SOLUTION: The vibration suppressing device of the elevator roller guide is equipped with a plurality of rollers rotating in contact with the oversurface and the side faces of a guide rail installed upright in an elevator shaft, a pressing means to press the rollers to the guide rail, and a rotation control means to suppress the rollers rotating for the specified period when the elevator car is stopped.
