PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drum type washing and drying machine in which washing power is improved by using detergent bubbles. SOLUTION: At the time of starting washing, by supplying water to a water level lower than a predetermined water level corresponding to the amount of laundry inside a water tub 3 and rotationally driving a rotary drum 2 at a rotation speed higher than the one at the time of washing, water in which a detergent is dissolved in high concentration is foamed, the detergent bubbles are generated and the laundry is washed with the bubbles. A projection part 37 is formed at the entrance of a discharge port 21 so that the detergent bubbles filled inside the water tub 3 do not flow into the circulation path of drying air by the rotation of the rotary drum 2 at the time.
