PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve cooking irregularities and to improve rice cooking performance. SOLUTION: A rice cooker 1 is provided with a pot 2 for housing rice and water, a pot heating means 3 for heating the pot 2, a pot temperature detection means 4 for detecting the temperature of the pot 2, and a control means 5 for receiving the detected temperature of the pot temperature detection means 4 and controlling energizing power supplied to the pot heating means 3.
