PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a threading utensil for round hole hand sewing needles which can pass a thread in the needle hole of a round hole hand sewing needle. SOLUTION: This threading utensil 1 for round hole hand sewing needles has a housing 2. The housing 2 has a round hole hand sewing needle inserting hole 5 which accepts a round hole hand sewing needle 90 with the needle hole 92 facing downward at the upper section of one end side of the housing 2, and a thread pressing core 21b which moves between the front and the rear of the needle hole 92 of the round hand sewing needle 90 which is accepted in the round hole hand sewing needle inserting hole 5. The housing 2 also has a longitudinal direction threading passage 50 which crosses the round hole hand sewing needle inserting hole 5 in a vicinity of the bottom section, and also, extends in the longitudinal direction of the housing 2, and a thread inserting slit 6 facing the vertical direction which is provided on this side of the round hole hand sewing needle inserting hole 5 and reaches the threading passage 50 right at the round hole hand sewing needle inserting hole 5. The threading passage 50 is composed of a vertical groove section 50a which is opened downward at a location closer to the center of the housing 2 regarding the thread inserting slit 6, a horizontal slit section 50b of which the slit interval I is within the height of the thread pressing core 21b between the thread inserting slit 6 and the round hole hand sewing needle inserting hole 5, and also, which is slightly smaller than the diameter of the needle hole 92 and becomes larger toward both sides in the width direction of the housing 2, and a threading hole 50c which is opened to the outside at one end side of the housing 2 regarding the thread inserting slit 6.
