PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a monitoring device for a vehicle by which there is less possibility for feeling troublesome. SOLUTION: A first image pick-up camera 1R picks up the image of the right side of the vehicle. A second image pick-up camera 1L picks up the image of the left side of the vehicle. A displaying means 13 displays a first image and a second image which are respectively picked up by the first image pick-up camera 1R and the second image pick-up camera 1L. A controlling means 14 makes the displaying apparatus 13 display one of the first image and the second image in response to the operation of a direction indicator. The controlling means 14 makes the displaying means 13 display the first image 33R when the direction indicator on the right side is operating, and makes the displaying means 13 display the second image 33L when the direction indicator on the left side is operating.
