<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermosensitive recording medium having sufficient coloring sensitivity and retarding significant reduction or loss of a coloring image concentration even if it comes into contact with a plasticizer. <P>SOLUTION: The thermosensitive recording medium includes, on a support medium, a thermosensitive coloring layer containing a colorless or light-colored basic dye and an organic developer as main components. The thermosensitive coloring layer contains a condensate or a condensed composition represented by formula (1) as the organic developer, and diphenyl sulfone as a sensitizer. Herein, in formula (1), R represents a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, a hydoxyl group, a lower alkyl group, an alkoxyl group, a cyano group, a nitro group, an aryl group or an aralkyl group; m Rs may be the same with or different from one another; and m represents an integer of 0 to 3.
