<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To create handwriting information from drawing on a certain drawing surface without requiring dedicated paper or the like on which a special pattern for detection of a drawing position is printed. <P>SOLUTION: This device includes a contact detection means 101 for detecting contact made by drawing to a certain drawing surface 200; an image input means 102 which, as drawing takes place, moves over the drawing surface 200 detected for contact by the contact detection means 101 and which sequentially samples partial images 203 in an input area 201 moved as drawing on the drawing surface 200 takes place; a movement detection means 107 for comparing the positions of features 204 present in the plurality of partial images 203 sampled by the image input means 102 to detect the movement of the drawing position; and a handwriting information creation means 108 for creating handwriting information 205 on the basis of the movement of the drawing position detected by the movement detection means 107. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
