PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet transport device and a printing device capable of pressing a pinch roller to a platen roller with a uniform pressure over the width direction. SOLUTION: The sheet transport device and the printing device comprise a left 54A and a right pinch roller arm 54B supported in loose fit on a power shaft 53 parallel with a holder 52, a power junction shaft 55 mounted overhead on the pinch roller arms 54A and 54B parallel with the power shaft 53, an upper 56A and a lower pinch roller 56B, and a power junction arm 57 where the centers of the power shaft 53 and the power junction shaft 55 are coupled together, wherein at least either of the power junction shaft 55 and the power junction arm 57 is made of a resilient substance, and it is arranged so that the pinch rollers 56A and 56B can be contacted with and separated from the platen roller 37 of an image transcribing means 4 through the power junction arm 57 and the power junction shaft 55 rotating in following after the power shaft 53 driven by a motor 71.
