PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a diagnostic method of reactor component which can diagnose integrity of nuclear reactor components without sampling test pieces, perform an efficient life extension and prevention measures of the reactor and contribute to improvement of reliability of the reactor components. SOLUTION: The diagnostic method has a process of obtaining a relation between electric potential and current density by measuring the anodic polarization curve of the evaluation object portion of the reactor component, a process of obtaining a passivity maintaining current density from the relation between the measured electric potential and current density, and a process of comparing with a master curve indicating the relation between the passivity maintaining current density obtained in advance and hardness of the sample or the sensitivity to stress corrosion cracking and estimating the hardness or the sensitivity to stress corrosion cracking of the evaluation object portion.
