ECOLOGICAL ROAD UNIT

An ecological road unit configured like a false opencut (2) of a road, whose essential element consists in an underground passage (1) utilised for the handling of meteoric waters polluted by particulate materials etc. and for sucking and purifying the air polluted by the volatile substances generated by vehicle traffic. The ecological unit also performs many other functions, like the reduction of "acoustic pollution", a landscape improving function (when used in an embankment) and the protection of the surroundings from veering vehicles, thereby avoiding the need to install metallic safety barriers.
