STORAGE BATTERY DEGRADATION DETERMINATION DEVICE, AND STORAGE BATTERY HAVING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a determination device capable of determining whether failure in starting a vehicular engine is attributable to a storage battery or to a vehicle side, and the storage battery with the determination device integrated therewith so that maintenance of the vehicle and the storage battery can be conveniently performed by a user of the vehicle. SOLUTION: A storage battery degradation determination device comprises a means to detect that a vehicular engine starter is started, a means to determine whether or not the engine start is completed, and a charging system determination means to determine normality/abnormality of a vehicular charging system, and further comprises a means to determine whether failure in starting the engine is attributable to a storage battery body or to a vehicle side from the voltage of the storage battery and the result of determination of the charging system when the engine cannot be started.
