PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shift lever device having a structure which is excellent in productivity, and at the same time, can be made compact. SOLUTION: This shift lever device is equipped with a base bracket 21 in which a shift lever 3 is incorporated, and a retaining bracket 22 which supports the shift lever 3 by pinching the shift lever 3 with the base bracket 21 so that the shift lever 3 may become rockable. At the same time, a push-pull mechanism 4 is arranged between the base bracket 21 and the retaining bracket 22 so that the push-pull mechanism 4 may be interlocked with the shift lever 3 for the shift lever device.
