PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical module constituted to set up and maintain a positional relation between a lens barrel and a driving part in accordance with design. SOLUTION: The optical module is equipped with: a base board 1 including an imaging device; a lens barrel 11 which is fixed on the base board and stores, freely movably in the optical axis direction LD, a lens holder containing a lens for forming an image on the image pickup face of the imaging device; a cylindrical cam 15 which is arranged on the outside of the lens barrel and moves the lens holder by using a cam face engaging with a projected member extended from the side of the lens holder; and a driving part in which the cylindrical cam is driven by an actuator 30 through a line of gears 36, 43, 44.
