PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyester resin for an electrostatic charge image developing toner which attains low-temperature fixability for enabling energy saving in a conventional image recording technique in which heat fixation is carried out, and which is excellent in blocking resistance, storage stability and chargeability. SOLUTION: The polyester resin for an electrostatic charge image developing toner contains, when respective amounts of acid components and alcohol components are considered to be 100 mol%,≥75 mol% of a dodecanedicarboxylic acid as an acid component and≥75 mol% of a 2-6C glycol as an alcohol component, and has an acid value of 0.1-20 mgKOH/g.
