PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a self-supported wick receiving stand which can be safely and easily used for an oil lamp by using a common vessel. SOLUTION: This self-supported wick receiving stand is structured by a leg part having an extended part integrally and extendedly formed from a potion to receive and fix an oil wick to support portions installed on the bottom of the common vessel at three points. An air hole formed in the extended part prevents the stand body from moving, since when oil is poured into the common vessel, it is speedily filled in the stand body and buoyancy is removed. The height of the stand indicates the safe height of an oil capacity. The oil wick can be easily mounted to the wick receiving part while sliding the wick by a slit formed extendedly from the wick receiving part to the lower end of the extended part. Accordingly, no conventional and exclusive vessel is required, and the common vessel can be safely and easily used for an oil lamp, and is also convenient to use. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
