<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solution for contact lenses which has a disinfecting effect complying with a primary implementation standard of an ISO stand-alone test, has high safety to the eyes, and is useful for all the soft contact lenses including ionic highly hydrous lenses without the impairment of the disinfecting effect and the safety even in the actual disinfection treatment of the contact lenses. <P>SOLUTION: The buffer used for the solution for the contact lenses containing a pyrrolidone carboxylic acid as an acidic component and at least one kind selected from L-arginine, L-lysine, basic amino acid of L-histidine and tris-hydroxy methylaminomethane as basic components which generate no metal ions in an aqueous solution and the solution for the contact lenses containing trimethyl glycine and biguanide-based disinfectant as an osmotic pressure conditioner. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
