PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the safety of a vending machine with a cooling unit, using a flammable HC refrigerant by reducing the risk of a refrigerant leak and enhancing safety. SOLUTION: The vending machine is equipped with a cooling unit 8 comprising a compressor 5, a condenser 6, a condenser fan 7, and the flammable refrigerant 9 and a condenser temperature detecting means 12 between an exit pipe of the condenser 6 and a liquid pipe part 13, wherein if the condenser temperature detection means 12 detects the temperature exceeding specified temperature, it is decided that the condenser fan 7 gets out of order, and the fault is displayed at a remote control display part 14 to urge maintenance for repair of the condenser fan 7, thereby enabling continuous ensuring of safety.
