PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shearing device of an emission spectrochemical analysis sample capable of shearing the sample surely in a short time, wherein the device itself has a simple structure and can be manufactured inexpensively and operation and maintenance can be performed easily, and a shearing processing method using the device. SOLUTION: This shearing device for separating at a neck part the emission spectrochemical analysis sample comprising an inflow part 19 and an analysis part 20 integrated across the small-diameter neck part is characterized by installing a shearing pressing mechanism having a cradle 4 provided with a sample holding part 9 for holding the analysis part in the attitude wherein the inflow part is projected on the working face and having a pressing head 8 sliding in the crossing direction relative to the sample axial direction on the cradle.
