PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oxybutynin formulation used for treatment of urinary disturbance, and to provide a sustained release formulation of a pharmaceutically permissible salt thereof. SOLUTION: The solid oral sustained release oxybutynin formulation comprises a sustained release matrix including a gelling agent such as hetero-dispersing gum containing a heteropolysaccharide, an inert pharmaceutical diluent, and a cationic cross-linking agent.
