PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate the charging and heaping operation of a compost material to a prescribed compost place where the compost material is heaped on a concrete floor, and to appropriately separate a liquid oozed out from the heaped compost material and gathered on the upper surface of the compost material in the shape of a puddle from the compost material. SOLUTION: A ditch 1 which has an almost triangular or trapezoidal shape in the side section and of which at least one wall face 11 in the wall faces in the surrounding is made into the surface inclined downward is constructed. The wall faces in the circumference and bottom face thereof are formed of concrete so as to be lined, and are covered with the roof of a cottage 4 constructed around the same. In the cottage 4, the part confronted with the upper end of the wall face 11 made into the inclined surface of the ditch 1 is provided with inlets c for charging a compost material into the ditch 1. The ceiling part of the cottage 4 is mounted with a hoist crane 5 which is freely movable right and left and back and forth. An openable and closable bucket 6 is hung from the hoist crane 5.
