METHOD OF DETECTING CARRIER SHIFT AMOUNT IN DIGITAL TRANSMISSION SIGNAL, METHOD OF CORRECTING CARRIER SHIFT AMOUNT, AND RECEIVER EMPLOYING THESE METHODS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To normally perform frequency shift correction control even if a frequency shift amount on a transmission line or the like is±1 of a carrier shift amount or more. SOLUTION: A TMCC carrier is demodulated from a received signal in an OFDM transmitting apparatus having a TMCC carrier. A relative carrier position of the demodulated TMCC carrier is detected. A carrier shift amount is detected from the detected relative carrier position of the TMCC carrier and a normal TMCC carrier position. The received OFDM signal is corrected for the carrier frequency shift on the basis of the detected carrier shift amount, so that normal correction is performed even if the frequency shift amount is±1 of the carrier shift amount or more.
