PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance luminescent characteristics and to materialize high definition as a result, in a structure provided with a discharge electrode using a low resistance conductive material. SOLUTION: In this PDP 10, a low resistance conductive part forming a comparatively thin wire and having a thin film thickness is formed to reduce a light shielding ratio in connecting electrode parts 7A, 7B disposed in the vicinity of the transparent conductive part 5A of a scan electrode 5 and the transparent conductive part 6A of a maintenance electrode 6 where maintenance discharge for image display is carried out, and low resistance conductive parts 5B, 6B each disposed comparatively away from transparent conductive parts 5A, 6A are each formed into low conductive parts having comparatively thick film thickness to reduce a wiring resistance.
