FIRE DETECTOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fire detector excellent in the sensitivity (heat sensitivity) for detecting the temperature of airflow in case of a fire. SOLUTION: The fire detector 1 comprises a cover 2 whose upper face is attached to a construction surface such as a ceiling surface; a circuit board 4 positioned within the cover 2 and on which the circuit components of a temperature detection circuit having a thermistor 3 serving as a heat detection element are mounted; eight fins 5 formed integrally with the lower surface of the cover 2 for guiding a horizontal air current to the thermistor 3 in case of a fire; a protector 6 formed integrally with the lower portion of each fin 5; and a terminal assembly 7 mounted on the circuit board 4. The eight fins 5 formed integrally with the lower surface of the cover 2 are placed upright radially about the thermistor 3 and around a through hole 2a at intervals of 45 degrees to one another.
