<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten a time from the activation to the completion of photographing preparation. <P>SOLUTION: In the image processing apparatus for recording a picked-up still picture or motion picture on a recording medium, reproducing and displaying the picture, the image processing apparatus includes a photographing means for photographing an object; a recording means for converting the photographed object image into image data and recording them on the recording medium; and a detecting means for detecting a status of the recording medium and after photographing using the photographing means and before recording using the recording means, the status of the recording medium is detected using the detecting means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
