COLOR FILTER DESIGN SYSTEM FOR LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To propose a color filter design system for a liquid crystal display device capable of quickly providing a color filter having characteristics requested by a customer at a low cost.

SOLUTION: This color filter design system for a liquid crystal display device is used for designing a composition and a film thickness of a resin film from spectrum data of the resin film constituting the color filter for the liquid crystal display device having a reflecting area and a transmitting area in each pixel, and spectrum data of a light source used for the liquid crystal display device. The color filter design system has: a data storage means for storing spectrum data A corresponding to the composition and the film thickness of the resin film and spectrum data B corresponding to the type of the light source; a request data input means for inputting the type of the light source; and a calculation means for calculating chromaticity in combining the spectrum data A with the spectrum data B in relation to each of the reflecting areas and the transmitting areas.
