<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording medium which can be manufactured without requiring special processes, which is unlikely to be forged and can attain miniaturization/cost reduction of a means for distinguishing, e.g., a card reader. <P>SOLUTION: The recording medium is provided on a base material 2, with at least a recording part, in which magnetic information is recorded and a security part 6 on which magnetic particles 7 of low coercive force are distributed at random, thereby solving the problem. The magnetic particles 7 of low coercive force, having sizes and shapes different from each other, are preferably distributed on the security part 6. It is further preferable that a magnetic recording layer 3 of high coercive force be provided on the base material 2 and that the security part 6 be formed at the magnetic recording layer 3. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
