PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the cost of equipment or processing and at the same time, to enhance filter efficiency of excavated earth and sand in an earth and sand separation filter device and a tunnel excavator. SOLUTION: Pressure devices 30 and 31 are connected to a chamber 27 formed in an excavator body 11 through screw conveyers 28 and 29, filtration degrees of filtration filters 51, 53, 55, 57, 59 and 61 of the pressure devices 30 and 31 can be altered according to kinds of earth and sand, water pipes 48 and 49 returning water separated from excavated earth and sand to the chamber 27 are connected to the pressure devices 30 and 31 and, at the same time, earth-moving gates 40 and 41 discharging separated gravel are provided.
